Act with Wisdom! BEST Successfully Completes AI Localisation Deployment, Officially Launches and Commences Operations

On the eve of National Day, BEST successfully completed the localised deployment of its AI Agent, formally naming it PETROBEST and commencing operations. This marks a pivotal step forward for the company, transitioning from ‘information-driven support’ to ‘intelligence-led advancement’.

This AI Agent platform differs significantly from generic large-model platforms, with its core distinction lying in the deep integration of the company's internal knowledge systems and business processes. By systematically organising and consolidating internal data, historical documents, technical documentation, and business rules, it constructs an AI model more closely aligned with the company's specific requirements and operational scenarios. Compared to generic platforms, this customised deployment enables more precise comprehension and adaptation to specific internal processes and contextual nuances. Consequently, it delivers more efficient support and services, empowering enterprises with heightened autonomy and bespoke capabilities. This approach propels AI technology beyond generic tools into genuine implementation within practical business scenarios. Concurrently, the platform offers enhanced data security and privacy protection. All data processing and model training occur entirely within the enterprise, eliminating reliance on external services. This approach reduces data leakage risks while enabling AI capabilities to integrate more flexibly into existing IT architectures and workflows.

On 29 September, the company convened a special meeting for senior and middle management to discuss the launch of PETROBEST. Discussions centred on the preliminary functions and applications of the company's AI agent, with plans outlined for refining the internal knowledge base and deepening AI capabilities within the organisation. It was resolved that the company would host an AI Deep Application Competition, with divisions or departments demonstrating effective AI implementation to be recognised by year-end. The company will continuously optimise AI models to achieve comprehensive business scenario coverage, transitioning from ‘execution support’ to ‘intelligent decision-making’ and evolving AI assistants into AI employees.

Finally, building upon mature internal AI capabilities, the company will explore external applications of AI technology. This includes establishing an AI capability-sharing mechanism to provide customised AI solutions for upstream and downstream industry partners, driving intelligent industry upgrades. This comprehensive approach will empower enterprises to achieve high-quality development and digital-intelligent transformation.
